Same Day Apple Repairs Auckland
Same-day service from Apple-certified technicians at two Auckland locations: Rosedale & Penrose
If your Apple device needs attention, Advanced Computers is one of Auckland's most experienced repair options. As a verified Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP) operating from workshops in Rosedale and Penrose, our individually Apple-certified technicians repair the full range of Apple devices using genuine Apple parts and Apple-approved procedures.
We've been repairing Apple products since 1998 — well before most repair shops existed — and have completed more than 20,000 Apple repairs for customers across Auckland, from the North Shore to Manukau. Whether your device is out of warranty, liquid-damaged, or simply not performing as it should, our team can assess it, explain what's wrong in plain English, and give you a clear quote before any work begins. Most common repairs are completed the same day and all hardware repairs carry a 3-month return-to-base warranty.

Apple Repairs vs AppleCare – What’s the Difference?
There are two types of Apple repair provider in New Zealand — Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) and Apple Independent Repair Providers (IRPs) like Advanced Computers. Here's what the difference actually means for you:
- AppleCare / Apple-authorised centres – Suitable for devices still under manufacturer warranty. Repairs are handled according to Apple’s service policies, which often involve replacing complete assemblies for eligible repairs.
- Independent Apple repair provider – Often ideal for out-of-warranty devices, liquid damage, data recovery, or complex faults. Independent repairs can offer faster turnaround times, flexible solutions, and clear upfront quotes before work begins.
- Apple Genuine Parts – As an Apple Independent Repair Provider, we have access to Apple genuine parts for supported repairs. For repairs where quality OEM parts are the more sensible option, we'll tell you why and let you decide.
- Apple Warranty Protection – A repair at an Apple IRP using genuine or approved parts does not void your Apple warranty for unrelated faults. The Consumer Guarantees Act also provides rights independent of any manufacturer warranty, regardless of who performs the repair. If you have questions about your specific situation, we're happy to advise before you commit to anything.
Some Apple Authorised providers suggest that independent repairers use non-genuine parts. As an Apple Independent Repair Provider, Advanced Computers has direct access to Apple genuine parts for supported repairs — the same supply chain used by authorised centres. The IRP programme exists specifically to give customers access to quality independent repair using legitimate parts and procedures. If you have questions about what parts apply to your specific repair, ask us before we start.
Honest Repair Recommendations & Repair-First Solutions
One repair assessment doesn't always tell the whole story. If you've been advised that your device requires a complete logic board replacement or that upgrading to a newer device may be the most practical option, another assessment may reveal a more economical solution. Our Apple-certified technicians begin every repair with a comprehensive bench diagnosis to determine whether a targeted component-level repair is possible. Using advanced diagnostic equipment and decades of Apple repair experience, we identify the exact hardware or software fault before recommending any work.
Where practical, we repair individual components rather than replacing larger assemblies or purchasing a completely new device, helping reduce repair costs and extend the life of your existing device. If you've already received a repair assessment elsewhere, we're happy to provide an independent second opinion. We'll explain the fault, discuss your repair options, and provide a clear quote before any work begins.

Our Apple Repair Process
Book Online or Drop Off Your Apple Device
Book online and send your device to us, or walk straight into our Rosedale or Penrose workshop — no appointment necessary. We repair the full range of Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro.
Bench Diagnosis
Our Apple-certified technicians run physical checks and benchmarks to pinpoint the exact issue, hardware or software. In-store diagnosis is usually same-day; mailed-in devices receive an inspection report.
Fixed Repair Quote
We'll call or text you with a clear quote before any chargeable work begins. If the fix is covered by your inspection fee (from $80, incl. GST), it's done at no extra cost — otherwise, we quote first and credit that fee toward the final price.
Repairs Performed
Once approved, our Apple-certified technicians get to work using genuine or high-quality OEM replacement parts (subject to your approval). From iPhone and iPad screen and battery replacements to MacBook charging ports, hinges, and keyboards, we also specialise in component-level logic board repairs — often saving you money compared to a full board or device replacement. Your data is protected throughout.
Full Testing
Every repaired Apple device goes through thorough testing to confirm the fix before it leaves our workshop.
Pickup / Delivery
We'll call or text you as soon as your Apple device is ready. Mailed-in devices are couriered back to you. Normal turnaround time is 48 hours (3–5 days if parts ordered), same-day Apple repair is subject to request and availability.
Apple Repair Testimonials
Read what our Auckland customers say about our Apple repair services, from iPhone screen replacements to complex device diagnostics.
I’ve had my iPhone 14 Pro Max for a few years, and recently the battery started dying fast. I decided to bring it here from a Reddit recommendation. They were helpful and patient. They replaced the battery and checked other parts of my phone too. Really appreciate they didn’t try to sell me extra services I didn’t need. Thanks Nancy and the Advanced Computers team.
John McKington
Penrose
My iPod Classic stopped working a few weeks ago, and I brought it to this shop following a friend’s recommendation. They replaced the old hard drive, and restored my playlists exactly as I had them. Nancy and the staff were super friendly and explained everything. I didn’t expect such an expert service for old device like this. I’ll definitely come back if any of my other Apple products need repairs.
Alex Webb
Rosedale
I use my iPad Pro for digital art, so when the screen started flickering, I was panicking. I brought it here after reading their Google reviews. The staff checked everything and explained the problem. Within a day my iPad was back and the screen works like new. They also made sure everything was calibrated right. I was worried about losing all my files, but nothing was lost. Great job Nancy and her team.

Apple Repair FAQs
Got questions about our Apple repair services in Auckland? Here are answers to the most common queries from our local customers.
Is Advanced Computers an Apple Authorised Service Provider?
No, we’re an Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP), which is a separate Apple programme. An IRP is authorised by Apple to perform out-of-warranty repairs using Apple genuine parts and Apple-approved procedures. The key difference is that Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) can process in-warranty and AppleCare+ claims, while IRPs like Advanced Computers focus on out-of-warranty repair. For most Auckland customers with a damaged or underperforming device, IRP repair is faster, more affordable, and more flexible. We explain this in detail above.
Will repairing my Apple device at Advanced Computers void my warranty?
No, a repair at an Apple IRP using genuine or Apple-approved parts does not void your manufacturer warranty for unrelated faults. If your device is currently under Apple’s warranty or AppleCare+ for the specific fault you’re experiencing, we’ll tell you honestly if going through Apple or an AASP is the right move before any work begins.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
Yes, where they make a meaningful difference. As an Apple Independent Repair Provider, we have access to Apple genuine parts for supported repairs. For repairs where genuine parts include software pairing — such as screens with True Tone, batteries with Health reporting, or components affecting Face ID — we use Apple genuine parts. For other repairs, we use quality OEM alternatives and will always explain which applies to your specific repair before we start.
How long does Apple repair take at Advanced Computers?
Most common repairs — screen replacement, battery replacement, charging port repair, and software issues — are completed the same day, and express turnaround is available for many iPhone screen repairs. More complex faults, or repairs requiring parts to be ordered, may take a few days. We’ll give you an accurate timeframe when you drop your device off, and we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
Will my data be safe during repair?
Yes. We follow strict protocols to protect your data and can create a backup before repair if needed.
How much does Apple repair cost in Auckland?
Cost varies depending on the device, model, and fault. At Advanced Computers, we provide a full quote before any work begins — you’ll always know the price before committing. Our diagnostic assessment carries no upfront fee, so there’s nothing to pay until you’ve seen the quote and decided to proceed.
Can you fix liquid damage or board-level issues?
Yes, we provide advanced diagnostics and component-level repair for supported Apple devices, including liquid damage cases.
Do you repair devices still under Apple warranty?
If your device has a manufacturing fault covered under Apple’s standard warranty, the most appropriate path is Apple directly or an Apple Authorised Service Provider, as those repairs must go through Apple’s programme to be covered at no cost. For out-of-warranty repairs, accidental damage, liquid damage, or performance issues, Advanced Computers is well equipped to help. We’ll always point you in the right direction.
What Apple devices do you repair?
We repair the full range of Apple devices: iPhone (all models), iPad (all models including iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini), MacBook (all models including M-series), iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, Apple Watch (all series), and iPod. If you’re not sure whether we can help with your specific device or fault, call or drop in and we’ll let you know.
Do you repair Apple devices for businesses?
Yes, we work with businesses across Auckland for iPhone, iPad, and Mac repairs, including fleet assessments, insurance repairs, and same-day turnarounds where business continuity matters. We’re trusted by leading New Zealand insurance companies for Apple device assessments. If you manage multiple devices or need ongoing repair support, get in touch to discuss what works for your situation.
Can I book online or send my device by courier?
Yes, you can book online for faster service, and courier options are available for NZ-wide customers.
