Computer Trade-In Auckland
If you would like to upgrade to a new computer, Advanced Computers makes it easy to trade-in your old laptop, netbook, or Macintosh for a sizeable discount off one of the very latest models. Both our North Shore and Penrose branches carry a great selection of new computers so simply bring your old computer in for appraisal, and you can trade up to a new model with a minimum of fuss.
What types of computers do you accept for trade-in?
Advanced Computers accepts a wide range of computer for trade-in including laptops, netbooks, Apple iMacs, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
Unfortunately we do not accept trade-ins for Windows based desktop computers.
What condition does my computer have to be in?
Advanced Computers are happy to accept trade-ins of computers that are damaged or faulty (water damage not included). If you aren’t sure whether to trade or fix, our computer repair experts can provide an honest assessment.
My computer is quite old, can I still trade it in?
Provided your computer meets our criteria above, Advanced Computers doesn’t put age restrictions on trade-ins. Please be aware that very old computers (older than 5 years) have very little value and the trade-in price will reflect this.
How much discount will I get off a new computer by trading my old one in?
The trade-in value of your computer will depend on its age, specifications and condition. Our trade-in appraisals are very competitive and combined with our everyday low prices on new computers across our Auckland service network, trading in is a handy alternative to selling your old computer privately.
Trade-in appraisal cost
Our online trade in appraisal is 100% FREE, but it is an estimate only and actual trade in price may differ if your computer’s condition is not reported accurately.
A full trade-in appraisal is also free provided you accept our trade-in offer and trade your computer in on a new model.
If you decide not to trade-in your computer after a full appraisal has been completed, we charge a small fee of $25 inc. GST to cover the time we spend carefully appraising your computer’s value as part of our professional electronics services.
