We also service faulty Digital Crowns, side buttons, and charging contacts to restore proper functionality. Services include display replacement, battery replacement, Digital Crown repair, side button repair, and charging contact repair.

AirPods

AirPods

AirPods batteries can lose capacity significantly after regular use, often within 18–24 months. We can replace worn batteries in compatible charging cases and individual earbuds where the design allows for service. Before arranging a repair, it’s worth checking your Apple warranty or coverage, as some battery-related issues may be eligible for service. Services include battery replacement for charging cases and earbuds, charging case repairs, and diagnosis of earbud audio problems.

HomePod / HomePod mini

HomePod / HomePod mini

We diagnose and repair HomePod and HomePod mini devices affected by hardware faults, physical damage, or liquid exposure. Common issues include power-related failures on first-generation HomePod models, damaged speaker mesh, and problems caused by water or other liquid contact. Certain first-generation HomePod power issues may also qualify for Apple service coverage, so checking eligibility before repair is recommended. Services include power-supply repair, speaker mesh replacement, and logic-board diagnostics.

Genuine Apple Parts, Local Auckland Service

Advanced Computers operates as an Apple Independent Repair Provider, offering Apple repairs using genuine parts and official GSX diagnostic system from our Auckland workshops in Rosedale and Penrose. Our individually Apple-certified technicians follow Apple’s established repair procedures.

What This Means for Your Repair?

  • Honest Repair Recommendation – Apple Authorised Service Providers often recommend replacing the entire device or upgrading to a newer model, which can be expensive. We take a different approach by assessing the actual fault and offering repair solutions tailored to your device, needs, and budget.
  • Apple Warranty Protection – A repair at an Apple IRP using genuine or approved parts does not void your Apple warranty for unrelated faults. The Consumer Guarantees Act also provides rights independent of any manufacturer warranty, regardless of who performs the repair. If you have questions about your specific situation, we're happy to advise before you commit to anything.
  • No Long Waits or Weeks of Appointment– You can get your Apple device repaired without the long waiting times often associated with appointments at Apple Authorised Service Providers. We aim to make the repair process straightforward, with quick diagnostics using Apple Service Toolkit (AST), clear communication, and efficient turnaround times. You won't be left without your device for too long.

I’ve had my iPhone 14 Pro Max for a few years, and recently the battery started dying fast. I decided to bring it here from a Reddit recommendation. They were helpful and patient. They replaced the battery and checked other parts of my phone too. Really appreciate they didn’t try to sell me extra services I didn’t need. Thanks Nancy and the Advanced Computers team.

My iPod Classic stopped working a few weeks ago, and I brought it to this shop following a friend’s recommendation. They replaced the old hard drive, and restored my playlists exactly as I had them. Nancy and the staff were super friendly and explained everything. I didn’t expect such an expert service for old device like this. I’ll definitely come back if any of my other Apple products need repairs.

I use my iPad Pro for digital art, so when the screen started flickering, I was panicking. I brought it here after reading their Google reviews. The staff checked everything and explained the problem. Within a day my iPad was back and the screen works like new. They also made sure everything was calibrated right. I was worried about losing all my files, but nothing was lost. Great job Nancy and her team.

Apple Repair FAQs

Got questions about our Apple repair services in Auckland? Here are answers to the most common queries from our local customers.

Is Advanced Computers an Apple Authorised Service Provider?

No, we’re an Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP), which is a separate Apple programme. An IRP is authorised by Apple to perform out-of-warranty repairs using Apple genuine parts and Apple-approved procedures. The key difference is that Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) can process in-warranty and AppleCare+ claims, while IRPs like Advanced Computers focus on out-of-warranty repair. For most Auckland customers with a damaged or underperforming device, IRP repair is faster, more affordable, and more flexible. We explain this in detail above.

Do you repair devices still under Apple warranty?

If your device has a manufacturing fault covered under Apple’s standard warranty, the most appropriate path is Apple directly or an Apple Authorised Service Provider, as those repairs must go through Apple’s programme to be covered at no cost. For out-of-warranty repairs, accidental damage, liquid damage, or performance issues, Advanced Computers is well equipped to help. We’ll always point you in the right direction.
